Boil tap water for one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or preparing baby formula. Water is safe for bathing and laundry.
Who is affected
Addresses in the Northgate area: north of Ferry Road and east of Orchard Avenue, including Northgate Commons. Pressure dropped after a water main break at Ferry Road and Orchard Avenue on Friday, which can let bacteria into the lines.
What happens next
Crews repaired the main on Friday night. The state requires two rounds of clean test results, 24 hours apart, before the notice is lifted. We expect that on Monday and will post it here and on the alert at the top of every page.
